Summer Read Starts June 7
To serve more children and accommodate different age ranges, this year, the Copper Queen Library will offer two summer reading sessions!
Both sessions will run on Wednesdays from June 7 to July 26 at the library (6 Main St.), and both session start times are set to coordinate with the Bisbee Bus schedule.
The morning session, Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales, is geared for ages 0-8 (up to 3rd grade) and will be offered from 10:30-11:30 am.
The afternoon session, Creature Feature, is geared for ages 9-17 (4th grade & up) and will be offered from 2:30-3:30 pm.
Two extra first-time-ever special weekend events will round out the summer program.
First, touring rock band The High Strung will make their only Arizona stop in Bisbee on July 2 to "Rock the Rafters" on Main Street and show their support for reading and intellectual freedom during their First National Rock 'n' Roll Library Tour.
And, the Bisbee Municipal Pool will co-host an evening end-of-program picnic, movie, and Splash Party on July 29.
Don't miss out! Opening-day parent-child registration and orientation are set for June 7 at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm the library.
For more information, call the library at 432-4232 or stop at the Circ Desk and pick up a flyer.
